Objective

To ensure secure and uninterrupted transaction processing by managing the lifecycle of security keys, including determining expiration, replacing expired keys, and verifying key usage within the Business Center.

Instructions:

Determine if a Key has Expired:

  1. Log into the Business Center.
  2. Select "Payment Configuration" on the left-hand side, then choose "Key Management."
  3. View all keys with their creation and expiration dates on the next page.

Replace Expired Keys:

If a key's expiration date is in the past, it has expired and you must create a new key. If a key is expiring soon, create and update a new key promptly to avoid transaction disruptions.

Manage Expired Keys:

Delete or disable expired keys to avoid confusion with active keys.

Verify if a Security Key is in Use:

  1. Log into the Business Center.
  2. Navigate to Transaction Management > Transactions.
  3. Select "Add Filter" and choose Request ID (RID), Merchant Reference Number (MRN), or Transaction Reference Number (TRN).
  4.
  5. Enter the relevant ID for the transaction in question.
  6. Under "Request Information," locate the "Security Key ID" field.
  7. Note: The REST API method does not display the Security Key ID field; contact your software provider for this information

Verify if a Secure Acceptance Key is in Use:

  1. Log into the Business Center.
  2. Navigate to Transaction Management > Secure Acceptance.
  3. Enter the Request ID (RID), Merchant Reference Number (MRN), or Transaction Reference Number (TRN) for the transaction in question.
  4. Select the eyeball icon.
  5. Under "Secure Acceptance Request Log," locate the "access_key" field.
  6. Using the access_key, go to Payment Configuration > Secure Acceptance Setting.
  7. Select a Secure Acceptance Profile, then choose "Security."
  8. Cross-reference the access_key to confirm if the profile is in use
