Introduction

This article outlines how to use test credit card numbers for general testing purposes in the Test environment. These test numbers allow you to simulate transactions and payment scenarios without using real card data. For more detailed testing instructions and processor-specific guides, refer to the CyberSource Testing Guide.

Procedure

1. Select a Test Credit Card Number

Use any of the test card numbers listed in the table below to submit test transactions in the Test environment.

2. Enter an Expiration Date

When prompted, provide any expiration date in the future.

3. Simulate Specific Error Conditions (Optional)

To simulate error conditions, use specific transaction amounts as required by your payment processor. Identify your payment processor and refer to the relevant test triggers in the Testing Guide.

4. Currency-Specific Testing

For testing transactions with specific currencies, you must ensure that the desired currencies are added to your Merchant ID (MID). For detailed instructions on configuring and verifying payment processor details, refer to:
