Why was my Acceptance Devices transaction reversed
If a Acceptance Devices transaction was reversed or voided automatically after being approved, it is due to an issue during the response process.
This means the approval message was not received by the POS Device of the merchant.
Common causes for this to happen include connection problems at the POS system, such as internet or Bluetooth failure, or a payment app crash.
When such issues occur, the reversal or void will automatically be applied to the transaction 15 minutes after approval.
These can be viewed on EBC and will be linked to the original approved transaction under "Transaction History."
Note:
If the merchants POS device does not receive an approval message on a transaction, it should never be assumed or marked as approved.
In any doubt, confirm the transaction via EBC.
