Introduction

After your account is live, you need to create user accounts in the Production environment using the Business Center. This guide provides steps to set up your account, configure reports, and manage user logons.

Set Up Your Production Business Center Account

To set up your account, follow these steps:

  • Log in to the Test Business Center at https://ebc2test.cybersource.com/ebc2/.
  • Navigate to Account Management
  • Enter the required fields, a passphrase, and select Submit.
  • Follow the instructions in the registration email to create a username in the live Business Center.

For detailed instructions, refer to the Setting Up a Production Account section in the Business Center Registration Quick Start guide.

If you use Secure Acceptance, Decision Manager, List Manager, Tokenization, or the Virtual Terminal, log in to the live Business Center and update your settings to match those in the test Business Center. Settings do not transfer automatically between environments, and failure to update may result in errors.

Configure Reports

Activate the Payment Batch Detail Report for transaction reconciliation as soon as possible. Enable necessary reports immediately after your Organization ID is live and before processing transactions to ensure all transactions are reported. Reports start generating the day after activation and do not include prior activity.

To activate reports:

  • Log in to the Business Center with your account administrator credentials.
  • Enter your Merchant ID as merchantID_acct, username, and password.
  • Select the Account Management tab and choose Report Subscriptions.
  • Select your account from the drop-down list.
  • Select Edit to enable additional reports in your preferred format and select Update to save changes.

For more information, contact Client Services. Reports are available online for 16 months; archive them for future reference.

Switch to Processing in the Production Environment

Refer to the documentation for your integration method on the Developer Center for details on sending transactions to the Production environment. Perform end-to-end testing to validate authorization and funding for all payment types. After testing, reverse charges by issuing credits through the Business Center.

Note: Test credit card numbers and order amounts used to trigger error responses are not valid in the production environment.

Create and Manage User Logons

Use the User Administration Tool to create additional usernames under your Organization ID:

  • Select the Account Management tab.
  • Choose User Administration.

Receive Notification Emails

Merchants receive emergency email notifications for unexpected processing downtime, scheduled maintenance, security key expiration, and technical updates. Set up an email alias to receive these notifications and include all appropriate recipients.

To set up an Emergency Contact, refer to the instructions on updating contact information for your account.
